i have been working with semantic wiki from last few month for information and knowledge management and sharing on web and realized it can add great value to present content management system. we all knows about wikipedia for its ease of collaboratively content authoring, editing and sharing and that’s why it getting popular day by day as we can see the increasing number of article available on wiki pedia (2,098,749 articles in English, 2007).
Now wikipedia is provided with semantic extensions which enable semantics annotation between wikipedia articles, provide facility of contextual navigation, browsing and search. But to enable the semantic annotation for wikipedia content one has to write single line code and normally people don’t bother about complicated editing, writing.
To encourage people for semantic annotation there was strong need for an editor which can provide the facility of automatically annotating semantics in wikipedia content. To get ride of all mentioned problem now Wikipedia is provided with an extension called “Halo” which primarily facilitates content editing through online editor and also provide the interface to browse ontology available on wikipedia. It also provide other facility like query based search, Auto completion of annotation, different types of relation are given.

Testing topic map software’s for browsing and publishing
As we all know that we have so many open software for topic map authoring and editing but very few of them could be used for browsing. I have found new software for authoring and publishing topic map i.e. OKS knowledge suit. This is a free downloadable package, contains three features ontoply, omnigator and vizigator could be useful for different purposes. One can download the full package and test it but for making available publicly one has to buy the license.Oks knowledge suit have three main features ontoply ,omnigator and vizigator , which is used for different sort of purposes.
Generally Ontoply is used for Building and managing ontologies and topic map content while onmigator and vizigator could be used for editing, browsing and viewing topic map graphically. The topicmap could be browse and navigated on omnigator and the most unique feature of omnigator is that it allows to load and navigate any conforming topic map, whether its format be XTM, HyTM, LTM – or even RDF. I have tested the same software for topic map creation, editing and browsing.
According to my experience it can be a good tool for topic map end users but same time a question arises in mind is that is this OKS knowledge suit is end of the world? Or is there any other way to reach to topic map driven portal like tm4j.
Lets try that and see which one is best!!

Abstract
The goal of this paper is to explore the concept of personalization in the web application from very begging in the application’s development process. Since web personalization is being popular in e-commerce and other domain so it should be discussed very critically with its challenge, opportunities and process. Web personalization is the process of designing website interface according to specific user need and taking advantage from users interaction and navigation habit to deliver need based content and information. The study presented provides introduction of personalization, briefs of different methods, involves in personalized web development with its challenge.

Using Semantic Wiki for agriculture content Management system
In the increasing interest in the Semantic Web, more and more Semantic Web applications are being developed everyday. Simplicity and user friendless for end users are main issues for semantic web application so that people who have IT skills can use it. We have been using wiki encyclopedia from 1995 for content management, collaborative authoring, information sharing and its getting popular day by day as it is very easy for creating and editing content for layman.
Now wiki has been upgraded with new extension : Semantic wiki , enabling semantic annotations to simple wiki text. It uses a simple RDF syntax to write labeled links between different concept and topics that may provide as easy to use and flexible environment for an integrated management of content and metadata which may be as useful for frivolous knowledge management.
On the other hand, in the context of collaboration authoring on the web, semantic wiki can be used as and editor of metadata for available information which the extra information about the content available on wiki.
As we have common defined vocabulary for agriculture domain, the system could be useful in different language and retrieving relevant information on web. As Wiki has proven itself to be a simple and user-friendly interface and useful tool for collaborative content management, semantic wiki can add value to collaborative writing by adding more annotations between the content.
